Pharmacist

We’re very proud to be one of Canada's Best Workplaces™. LMC Pharmacy – Diabetes Source, a branch of LMC Diabetes & Endocrinology, is an innovative in-clinic Pharmacy specializing in diabetes and endocrine disorders. Staffed by a CDE Pharmacist, LMC Pharmacy – Diabetes Source conveniently provides an extensive line of medications and supplies required by our patients.

Currently, our growing team is looking for a Pharmacist to join us on a permanent, part-time basis at our LMC clinic in Oakville, Ontario.

Summary:

  • Reporting to the Pharmacy Associate, the Pharmacist will support the pharmacy by providing diabetes counseling and dispensing services at LMC
  • Role provides a unique opportunity to practice in a clinical environment with a team of top specialists in diabetes and endocrinology
  • The Pharmacist will provide focused care to a rapidly growing base of patients with diabetes and other endocrine conditions

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Pharmacy Associate and the Diabetes Education team to provide diabetes counseling and medication reviews for clinical patients via the Medscheck program
  • Collaborate with endocrinologists and other team members to provide best care to visiting clients
  • Support all responsibilities related to pharmacy operations as well as medication/supplies dispensing and shipment for our on-line pharmacy

Requirements:

  • Must be a licensed pharmacist (active Part A registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists)
  • 4-5 years of Ontario pharmacy practice and diabetes education experience preferred
  • Possessing a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) designation will be considered a definite asset
  • Must have previous retail pharmacy experience
  • Must have previous experience using Kroll
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
  • Regular business hours, with flexibility to provide infrequent after-hour service as needed
