Clinical Screening Coordinator, Regional

Our rapidly expanding team is in need of a Clinical Screening Coordinator, Regional who can work for us on a full-time, permanent basis supporting our LMC clinics.

The Clinical Screening Coordinator is responsible for all research related recruitment initiatives in order to recruit high quality patients in accordance with LMC Recruitment guidelines. Additionally, this position is required to recruit and screen patients for participation in clinical research studies. This position will also be responsible for assisting with marketing initiatives for LMC Research. This person should demonstrate knowledge of protocols including inclusions/exclusions and be familiar with the medications and medical diseases that coincide with the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Research that is conducted at LMC.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Obtain and maintain computerized database of all ad callers via the 1 866 telephone line or web postings
  • Recruit and screen patients for participation in clinical research studies
  • Return all phone calls/email responses to interested patients within 24 - 48 hours
  • Accurately complete research tracking log & LMC Manager ad database
  • Identify appropriate study candidacy based on knowledge of each sites recruiting and upcoming clinical trials
  • Complete screening visits for specified research studies regionally as needed
  • Assist the Marketing Coordinator by providing content management support to LMC website and various social media outlets
  • Draft advertisements and retrieve appropriate approvals i.e. Sponsor & REB
  • Complete database query reviews for study candidacy and conduct outbound calls for study interest
  • Provide study metrics on a regular basis and provide ongoing feedback regarding outcome of recruitment initiatives
  • Problem solve and create contingency plans to optimize enrollment via recruitment initiatives
  • Occasionally attend community lectures, health fairs or events to promote LMC
  • Set up support for community events and support groups by organizing various staff within LMC
  • Work on enrollment and retention initiatives with Manager, Operations and Director of Research
  • Support and run initiatives that promote branding of LMC i.e. JDRF walk
  • Assist the Director of Research, Manager, Operations and/or Investigators with any other research tasks as required

Requirements preferred, but not limited to:

  • Bachelors of Science Degree or equivalent
  • Access to a reliable vehicle to travel to various LMC sites is a must
  • Experience in Marketing is considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Attention to detail & thoroughness
  • Ability to multi task
  • Strong organizational skills
